for years to come. Health and Safety and Environmental standards are important
to any successful and mature company, we continue to support and promote best
practice and maintain Environmental legislation within our community and
neighbors. ‘Cement Division team can be proud of all we have
accomplished for the 2014 financial year. We have experienced a growth in our
cement and clinker market share in the UAE Market. We have performed well but
need to maintain our cost focus to be supplier of choice in this competitive
environment. Cement Division is repositioning its strategic position among
other cement manufacturer’s players in UAE.
Customer supply and quality priorities are key, to support
this we have developed a continuous improvement program designed to meet the
needs of our customers.
2014 milestone events were crowned by the commercial
production starting of Al Ain Cement 10,000 TPD plant. His Highness Shaikh
Hamed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chief of the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince’s Court, has
opened the Dh 1.3 billion cost plant. Being the largest in the UAE, Al Ain
Cement Factory will be a value added asset to the national economy and is
consistent with Senaat’s strategic plans of ruling Abu Dhabi cement market
supporting by excessive volume and closer position. Earlier this year, the
plant passed all specified performance guarantee tests and Akan has awarded the
Supplier CBMEC the provisional acceptance certificate. would like to take this opportunity to thank all involved in making this opening ceremony a memorable day and an enormous success. Advancements during 2014 included refurbishing Cement Mill 2
at Emirates Cement Factory, installing a new shell and associated plant and
modernized the obsolete electrical control systems, with state of the art
technology, ensuring uninterrupted quality cement supply. Looking forward to 2015, we need to continue to focus on our
key objectives and meet all challenges with energy, passion and commitment. |
